Ten Questions with #54

March 19, 2016
We recently caught up with #54 Mark Manos (G) for an informal grilling and interrogation.  Here's the transcript.

1.   What have you been doing since the season ended? Where are you living?

MM -  Since the season ended I am back in Philadelphia finishing my final year of college at Drexel and helping to coach the lacrosse team at Drexel this year.

2.   What was your favorite part of the 2012 MLL Season?

MM -  My favorite part of the 2012 MLL season was our game against Chesapeake where Dino scored a two point bomb to give us the lead with a few seconds left on the clock.

3.  If you're Ohio, what do you do with the #1 overall pick in the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft?

MM -  I would wait to see how things shape up in the fall. There are so many good young players out there who can take advantage of the fall to prove that they deserve a shot.

4.   What do you do to stay in shape?

MM -  In order to stay in shape I am in the gym running and lifting between 3-4 times a week. I am also trying to be very conscious of my diet making sure that I am eating the right things.

5.   What is your (lacrosse) weapon of choice?

MM -  My weapon of choice is a Warrior Nemesis head on a Warrior Kryptolite Diamond shaft.

6.   Other than lacrosse, what is your favorite sport to watch? Who is your team?

MM -  My favorite sport to watch would have to be football. There are so many similarities between football and lacrosse it is one of the best sports from a fans point of view to watch. My favorite football team is the Philadelphia Eagles. Best team in the NFL hands down talent wise and one of the greatest spots franchises if all time.

7.   Any advice for those playing high school lacrosse?

MM -  My biggest piece of advice to all high school lacrosse players would be to always be trying to perfect your craft whether that be hitting the wall everyday, playing another sport to help stay in shape, or hitting the gym hard. You have to constantly be willing to make sacrifices in order to get to your ultimate goal and have to perfect and fine tune your game in order to get there.

8.   Do you have any special talents?

MM -  I can do a split.

9.   How's your tweet game? (Note - Mark's twitter: @markmanos7)

MM -  I think I have an average tweet game. I'm not the best around but I try and keep up with it. My favorite person to follow has to either be Jovan Miller or Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. They both tweet some really funny stuff.

10.   Favorite Meal?

MM -  Mom's homemade spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. She is an unbelievable cook.

11.   Where would you go in a time machine?

MM -  If I had a time machine I would want to go to the Rome during the time of the gladiators. 'Gladiator' is one of my favorite movies and I have always wondered what it would be like to fight in the Colosseum in front of so many people.
