President / Managing Partner
McPhilliamy has been Managing Partner and Team President since January 2011 after organizing and leading an investment group that helped bring the Hounds to Charlotte.
In his role, McPhilliamy oversees all aspects of the Hounds business operations. Prior to founding the Hounds, he spent 3 years with the Charlotte Bobcats where he served as Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and was responsible for the team’s marketing and ticket sales. In addition to his team responsibilities, McPhilliamy started the Charlotte Hounds Foundation as a way to give back the Charlotte community and help grow the sport.
McPhilliamy has over 20 years sports and entertainment marketing experience and has worked with Dale Earnhardt Inc, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Minnesota Vikings and Houston Rockets. McPhilliamy was a partner in BRANDTHINK, one the leading sports consulting agencies in the country and served as a senior marketing executive with numerous major agencies including DraftWorldwide and Digitas.
Jim is a graduate of Baylor University. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children and two dogs and they reside in the Myers Park area of Charlotte.
Vice President / General Manager
Leaphart officially joined Jim McPhilliamy and the Charlotte-based team as Director of Sales & Marketing on March 1, 2011.
As Director of Sales & Marketing, Leaphart was instrumental in the team's formation, establishing business operations, managing outreach programs, player/personnel, merchandise, fan engagement, social media, branding & marketing and sales with a focus on securing new team sponsors and season tickets. He was promoted to Vice President / General Manager on June 14, 2012.
The University of South Carolina grad and Game Face alum has held various sales and marketing positions, including two seasons with the ECHL’s Fresno Falcons, a four year run with Bobcats Sports and Entertainment and a stint with Revolution Racing, revamping the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program.
Wade enjoys grilled meat, breaking world records, watching mindless reality TV and his favorite athlete is a toss up between Charles Barkley and Will Clark. He and his wife Tracie and 3 children call the Mountain Island area of Charlotte home.
Community Relations / Group Sales
Boyles joined the Hounds in January 2012. As Community Relations Manager, Kristy is focused on group sales and the growth of lacrosse in the Carolinas. Specifically, she is responsible for team grassroots outreach programs, building relationships with area youth programs, as well as management of the team's retail operation.
The University of Richmond graduate and Spider lacrosse alum has been actively involved with the lacrosse community in the Carolinas since moving to Charlotte in 2006. Kristy has experience in both coaching and program direction at the youth and varsity levels and is the current girls varsity lacrosse Head Coach at Charlotte Country Day School.
Kristy and her husband Jason, along with two wonderfully crazy Golden Retrievers, reside in the Elizabeth area of Charlotte.
Ticket Operations / Business Manager
Nyeste joined the Hounds in October 2012. Corbin oversees numerous aspects of team business operations and ticket operations, and plays a large role in the overall ticket sales and service effort.
Before moving to Charlotte, Corbin coached Varsity goalies at his former high school, Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, OH. Corbin moved to Charlotte in June 2011 looking to start his career in sports. Corbin originally joined the Hounds in February 2012 as Ticket Sales intern and halfway through the team's inaugural season, he joined the Hounds' Practice Squad as a back-up goalie.
Corbin earned a B.A. in Marketing at Ohio University. At OU, Corbin was President of the campus's American Marketing Association chapter, as well as Vice President and Captain of the Ohio Men's Club Lacrosse program. Corbin also volunteered as a Marketing & Promotions assistant with the Ohio University Athletic Department.
In his free time, Corbin enjoys spending time outside, watching sports, and going out Uptown with friends. He also enjoys beating Wade in racquetball. Corbin and his fiancé Anna live in Commonwealth Park with their dogs Rudy and TJ.
Ticket Sales Associate
David Huson joined the front office staff on February 15, 2013.
As Ticket Sales Associate, Huson is primarily responsible for season ticket sales and group sales, as well as being a consistent presence at business and community events.
The Marymount University grad spent time with the Washington Redskins and Charlotte Bobcats before landing his position in Major League Lacrosse.
Jillian joined the Hounds on a part-time basis in 2012 after spending two seasons with the Major League Lacrosse office in Boston as a Reporter/Correspondent.
Jillian assists with a variety of gameday responsibilities including publications, press releases, website content, media credentials and other requests as needed.
The Buffalo, NY native earned a B.A. in Broadcasting-Mass Communication from the State University of New York at Oswego and a M.S. in Broadcast Journalism-Sports Reporting from Boston University. She began with MLL in Spring 2010 as a broadcasting intern, and was responsible for coordinating and conducting interviews with players and coaches for feature assignments as well as post-game wrap ups. She also covered and assisted with special events such as the Collegiate Draft, All-Star Game and Championship weekend. In the 2011 season Jillian saw that role expand with the launch of the “Inside the MLL” web series, for which she was a features correspondent. Previously, she was a blogger/contributor for WEEI.com in Boston and a coach/supervisor for multiple YMCA Gymnastics programs.
Jillian also works as a Staff Writer at SportsBusiness Daily. In her free time she likes to remain active by running, playing intramural sports and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
Blue made his debut at the first ever Hounds game on April 28, 2012. The fun loving canine was named by the fans via a name the team campaign on the Hounds facebook page and website. Blue has all the qualities of a Plott Hound...athletic, muscular, agile, indifferent to other dogs and loves the attention of humans. You can see Blue at all home games and out in the community. In his free time, he enjoys fetching lacrosse balls, marking his territory and hunting boar. Blue resides at Hounds HQ in Uptown Charlotte.
