2012: The Hounds acquired Amidon in the 2012 Expansion Draft (28th overall). The midfielder played in all 14 games of the franchise's inaugural season, scoring six goals (including one 2-pointer) and adding four assists for a total of 11 points. Amidon in Week 3 also was honored as the "MLL Offensive Player of the Week" for a career-high four goal, six point performance. 2011: Amidon was drafted by the Boston Cannons in the second round (10th overall) of the 2011 Collegiate Draft, however, he opted not join the team for that season. Collegiate: In four years at Syracuse, Amidon played in 68 games, recording 49 goals and 35 assists for a total of 84 points. In addition, the midfielder collected 51 ground balls. Amidon was name a USILA Honorable Mention All-American in both his Junior (2010) and Senior (2011) seasons. In 2011 he also was an All-Big East Second Team selection and team co-captain. Personal: Josh joined LB3 Lacrosse in September as a coach and manager for the St. Louis operation, though he does travel with the company to host other camps and clinics throughout the U.S. (Josh and LB3 will be in Winston-Salem, N.C. in June.) Outside of lacrosse, Josh likes to attend live concerts and his favorite type of music to listen to is country. The midfielder also enjoys watching Olympic Curling and Fresh Prince of Bel Air re-runs. |
