The Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse will hold preseason Media Days in conjunction with their first weekend of training camp, scheduled for Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13 at Providence Day School’s Mosack Field at Overcash Stadium, the team’s official practice facility for the 2014 season.
Hounds players, coaches and staff will be on site conducting practices and meetings from 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, April 12. All media are welcomed and encouraged to observe, or if applicable record footage of, the morning practice session from 10:00am-12:00pm. Players and coaches -- several with local ties to Charlotte and the greater North Carolina community – will be made available for interviews within that time period. The Hounds also are offering media availability on Sunday, April 13 from 9:00-11:00am. Press credentials are not required to attend.
The Saturday morning practice session at Overcash Stadium at Providence Day School is also open to the public. Fans can come out and get their first peek at the players vying to make the Hounds’ 25-man active roster for 2014. ESPN Radio 730AM Charlotte will be on hand from 9:00-11:00am on Saturday taking live hits and offering giveaways for those in attendance.
Fans can meet the team on Friday, April 11 at
Buffalo Wild Wings (400 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd). Players will be at the restaurant from 6:00-7:30pm with opportunities for autographs, photos and high fives. Media members also are encouraged to attend this event.
The Hounds will conduct their second weekend of training camp in Baltimore, Md., on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19. Those practices will include scrimmages against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, Denver Outlaws and Florida Launch. The Hounds
kickoff the 2014 MLL season at home against the Ohio Machine on Saturday, April 26 at 7:00pm.
