U.S. National Whitewater Center and Charlotte Hounds Extend Partnership

 

Charlotte, N.C. (November 15, 2013) - Charlotte Lacrosse LLC announced today that The U.S. National Whitewater Center has re-signed as a team sponsor for 2014.

 

Elements of the partnership include signage, promotions, team building, event marketing, print and social media.  The U.S. National Whitewater Center and the Hounds will continue working together throughout the year to cross-promote events and create cool experiences for fans and followers.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is a non-profit outdoor recreation and adventure sports facility situated on 400 acres of woodlands along the scenic Catawba River. Alongside mountain biking and running trails, a climbing center, zip-lines, flatwater kayaking, high rope courses, and a canopy tour, the facility’s most unique feature is a multiple-channel, customized whitewater river for rafting and paddling enthusiasts of all abilities. About Charlotte Hounds

In January 2011, Major League Lacrosse announced a league expansion for the 2012 season that included Columbus, OH and Charlotte, NC. The team began play in April 2012 at historic American Legion Memorial Stadium. In their first season, the Hounds averaged 5,700 in attendance and finished with a 5-9 record as an expansion team. The 2013 season featured seven (7) regular season home games, as well as the 2013 MLL All-Star Game, and culminated with a one point loss in the MLL Championship Game to the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
